We are delighted to be seeking part time Support Workers to join our Supported Living team based in Dunedin. To be successful in this role your personal values will align with those of Community Care Trust: Respect, Reliability, Transparency, and Responsiveness.

About the role:

As a Support Worker in our Supported Living services you will be making a difference every day. You will support individuals to develop practical life skills including household tasks, meeting education/vocational needs, cultural awareness, community activities and participation, building positive relationships with whanau and peers, and everyday problem solving and coping strategies.

A natural ability to relate to others and build rapport with people we support and other team members is essential along with a strong desire to make a positive difference.

Successful applicant will have:

  1. A proactive and person-centred approach to support.
  2. Willingness to complete Health and Wellbeing training and qualifications.
  3. A positive, can-do attitude and a great work ethic.
  4. Eligibility to work in New Zealand and have a valid work visa with a minimum of 12 months until expiry.
  5. Hold a FULL, clean New Zealand Driver License (Essential).
  6. Hold a current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to complete one at our cost).
