Support Analyst – Service Desk

As a member of the Service Desk team, you will play a crucial role in being the main point of contact for our Automation Farming customers, delivering top-notch customer service, quality technical assistance, and support through phone, email, and remote tools.

You will collaborate directly with customers to comprehend, log, and prioritize their requests through our key systems. Additionally, you will actively monitor, troubleshoot, and escalate potential issues detected on customer sites via our remote monitoring and support tools.

Part of your responsibilities will involve deriving reliable quality metrics and acting as a valuable link to the broader support service and development teams to steer improvement.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include:

  • Act as the initial contact point for customer technical support calls and related emails
  • Methodically address software and hardware queries, resolving and escalating as needed
  • Deliver a professional, empathetic, and consistent customer experience through effective communication
  • Assess system performance using our remote monitoring and alert system 'Splunk' and other support tools
  • Document, prioritize, and monitor customer queries and requests via the company's CRM system(s)
  • Collaborate with the development team to enhance products and the overall customer experience
  • Maintain and update knowledge base and troubleshooting guides for internal and external support
  • Stay informed about the latest product releases and provide training to customers on utilizing their hardware and software systems
  • Be flexible with work hours to handle peak customer support periods, which may include weekends and irregular hours

What You Must Have

Required:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or at least 2 years' experience in a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build positive internal and external relationships
  • Empathy towards customers
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivation and teamwork abilities
  • Desire for continuous learning and improvement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word

Advantageous:

  • Prior experience in an IT Service Desk or customer-facing support role
  • Knowledge of dairy farm operations and milking processes
  • Experience or qualifications in database management, including SQL
  • Skills in reporting, analytics, and understanding of monitoring systems like Splunk
  • Ability to remotely provide training on processes, hardware, software, and troubleshooting
