You will actively engage with all stakeholders including our landlords and suppliers to drive new concepts and utilise all assets and promotional funds available to improve store penetration and produce clear brand differentiation.

You will take ownership of the communications strategy across our Duty Free business and ensure alignment with the business objectives, strategies and standards.


In this role you will:

  • Develop the marketing and communications strategy for stores in alignment with business objectives, strategies, standards and procedures
  • Work closely with Category/Concept Managers to develop clear marketing strategies and action plans.
  • Work with the category team to deliver strong supplier paid activations in store
  • Work closely with airport landlord marketing teams, agreeing on promotional plans and in store execution
  • Negotiate and maintain deals with major suppliers (print, design and promotions)
  • Management of the company promotional calendars
  • Evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implement marketing plan changes as required
  • Work cross functionally, between stores and departments to build programs and promote marketing activities internally
  • Responsible for all visual merchandising standards in store (includes signage and visual merchandising materials)
  • Direct the production and distribution of all visual merchandising support materials (such as brochures, signage, POS materials and navigation signage)
  • Ensure excellent delivery of strategy and execution in the area of promotions
  • Track performance of various promotions through quantative analysis
  • Analyse brand positioning in the local market and determine marketing initiatives to improve
  • Maximising the use of Landlord promotional funds through close communication with appropriate Landlord partners.
In order to be successful in this role you will thrive in a fast-paced environment where responsibilities evolve quickly.

You will enjoy juggling competing priorities, demonstrate a high level of initiative, have excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with a varied audience.

We are looking for someone detail oriented and analytical with a gift for engaging people along a journey with genuine leadership qualities.


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field
  • 35 years' experience in Marketing, preferably in a retail environment
