This presents an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Customer Support Advisor to become a champion of positive customer experiences within the community.

  • Permanent role, working 32 hours per week, based in either Mangawhai or Dargaville.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our customers, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service, providing high-quality information, and offering guidance on all aspects of Council's operations. You will handle a diverse range of inquiries where no two interactions are the same.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Managing customer inquiries across multiple channels, ensuring exceptional service.
  • Providing customers with comprehensive and accurate information, advice, and application assistance.
  • Act as an advocate for customers within the department and wider organisation, ensuring their needs are represented.
  • Encourage and assist customers in using online self-service options to enhance their access to Council services.
  • Accurately process customer payments and preform daily banking and reconciliation tasks.

In addition, this dynamic position offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with other departments, contractors, and our community, while being an ambassador for a positive customer experience at the Kaipara District Council.

A professional customer-first attitude is essential, coupled with the ability to create meaningful interactions that leave a lasting impact. You possess a can-do attitude and have proven experience in maintaining effective customer and working relationships.

In addition, you will have:

  • Proven experience in a multi-faceted customer service role
  • Strong financial and administration experience
  • Effective time management and a proven ability to work to deadlines
  • Adaptability and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
