You will have the opportunity to care for patients undergoing a variety of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures in a fast paced and technical environment.

Our supportive multidisciplinary team is innovative and progressive, making the Cath Lab an exciting and satisfying place to work. The successful applicants will be solution focused and offer critical thinking abilities.

The role will involve work across all areas within the Cardiology department, offering variety, attractive work hours and the opportunity to develop your clinical skills.

The Te Whatu Ora Health Waikato Cardiology Department is a leading tertiary care facility serving patients throughout the Midlands region.

Our interdisciplinary team offers a comprehensive range of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures, including coronary, electrophysiology, pacing, structural heart disease intervention, imaging, and cardiac diagnostic tests, as well as after-hours emergency coverage.


In addition to four labs, we offer a 15-bed facility that provides pre and post-procedure care to our patients from Monday through Friday and we also provide nursing support for cardiac testing/non-cath procedures.

Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:

Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi

Have a minimum of two years post registration experience within a New Zealand hospital/acute care setting

Have the ability to work effectively in a fast paced and technical environment

Have excellent communication skills

Have a 'can do', solution focused attitude

Enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team

Eligible to work in New Zealand, with current Annual Practicing Certificate
