This is a full-time, permanent position (40 hours per week) based in Petone, Wellington.
The remuneration range for this role is $101,787 to $143,699 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity

An opportunity to support and influence the delivery of Wellington Water's growth planning, third party delivered projects and land development portfolio.

You will undertake planning activities to meet the growth demands in an integrated, affordable, innovative, sustainable way.

In this role you will get to:

  • contribute to the development of early project development processes for growth planning
- provide advice and information on Three-Waters servicing for development areas
- respond to requests or information inquiries on matters relating to major infrastructure programmes by others
- lead and coordinate Wellington Water input into third party delivered Three Waters assets
- foster relationships with internal and external parties.

About you

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree qualification in engineering, planning, project management or similar
- a minimum of eight years experience preferably in Three-Waters investigation, design, infrastructure planning, or project management
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- strong relationship skills and a client and customer service ethos
- knowledge of the Resource Management Act and national, regional, and local planning procedures
- analytical skills, able to make assessments and be solutions focused.

Wellington Water is the Wellington region's professional water services provider.

We are 100 per cent council owned and funded by Wellington City, Hutt City, Porirua City, and Upper Hutt City councils, Greater Wellington Regional Council and South Wairarapa District Council.

Our councils own the water infrastructure in the region, and they task us to manage the infrastructure and deliver water services to their communities.

Our job is to provide safe and healthy drinking water, collect and treat wastewater, and ensure the stormwater network is well managed.
