We are seeking a Change Manager for the Operations and Service Delivery (OSD) Portfolio Management Office (PMO) to play a key role in the new PMO team.


As the Change Manager, you will be responsible for working with the PMO Manager and wider PMO team to plan, manage and deliver a successful and enduring change portfolio.

The PMO team is a new function designed to support the OSD Leadership team (OLT) and business groups to successfully plan, manage and deliver on a large portfolio of work, including projects and programmes that are delivering significant technology, infrastructure, and business change.


The Change Manager will lead best practice change management and work closely with the OLT to provide timely and pragmatic assurance and advice that informs and assists strategic decision making.

This will be achieved through providing fit for purpose reporting and understanding the strategic direction of the Ministry, the Justice cluster, and the judiciary.


He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience

We are looking for:

  • Governance expertise and experience providing specialist advice to Senior Leaders and Senior Responsible Owners (SROs)
  • Strong problem resolution and decisionmaking skills
  • Experience with one or more project management practices, such as PMI, PRINCE2 or Agile (a qualification in one of these practices is desirable)
  • Experience in developing and maintaining robust relationships, including with Executive teams and Senior Managers
  • Sound understanding of the machinery of government
