About the Role


As a Recreation Coordinator you will be responsible for planning and facilitating individual resident's recreation plan and recreation programme for Enliven residential.

This involves running daily activities with staff and volunteers, planning the social calendar for the home and supporting our residents to pursue their interests.

You will also encourage residents to maintain their independence, learn new skills and maintain connections with their community.

This is an ideal opportunity for you to give back to your community and spend time with our residents who have done exactly that in their lifetime


The role is based at Brighwater Home and will be working between Tuesday - Saterday (09:00-16:30), perfect for those wanting to balance work life.

About You


As well as a passion for the wellbeing of older people, you will be enthusiastic but patient and well organised with great interpersonal skills and sense of humour.

You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect.

In addition, you will have:

  • A genuine interest in supporting the Recreational activities in our Home
  • You may hold a relevant qualification, but it's not essential because we can help you gain one
  • Experience in a customerfacing role, ability to listen to people and work with them to support their needs
  • Experience in administration with some computer literacy
  • Full, clean New Zealand driver's license
