He angitūtanga | About the role
Are you keen to bring your asset and data management skills and experience to improve the way Te Papa Atawhai delivers conservation outcomes for Aotearoa?
We manage a wide variety of assets including tracks, huts, structures, campsites, boundary fencing, predator control fencing and accommodation facilities. These assets provide visitors with breath-taking recreation opportunities and contribute towards protecting our natural flora and fauna.

**The position will be focussed on**:

- acting as first point of contact for the business in relation to issues and queries about asset management systems and processes
- providing incident and problem management in line with Service Level Agreements
- triaging system and process issues and escalate queries as needed
- providing administrative support to the asset management change programme
- communicating progress of changes and enhancements to stakeholders
- managing the knowledge base, and keep records up to date
- guiding staff on how to use asset management systems and processes
- assisting with training in asset management systems and processes as required
- communicating best practice asset management principles
- supporting the implementation of changes to processes, tools or other initiatives to improve our asset management practice.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
If you have the following attributes, we are keen to hear from you:

- Cultural competence with a good understanding of Māoritanga and the purpose of Te Tiriti.
- Excellent verbal & written communications skills.
- Experience of and knowledgeable in the practice of asset management.
- Experience/knowledge of business process management s ISO 9000, & Asset management 55000 standards.
- Data analysis skills preferably using current version of SAP and related tools.
- Excellent software skills including advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent customer service skills and a can-do attitude.
- Experience in understanding, evaluating and escalating faults and issues through to resolutions in a customer facing environment.
- Ability to build strong relationships with your team and with the customers of our processes, skilled in working collaboratively with a range of people across initiatives.
- Experience in working proactively with stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
- An understanding of roles and responsibilities within an organisation, including accountability, responsibility, and participating activities.

Desirable
- Experience using SAP to support infrastructure asset management and business processes.
- Experience with systems administration of online software systems, including maintaining internal sites.

Mō te tīma | About the team
The National Operations and Regulatory Services Group (NORS) supports and delivers our conservation outcomes at place, alongside the Regional Operations Group, across Aotearoa New Zealand's land and sea scape.
The Asset Specialist Team is part of the Planning and Services Directorate which is responsible for planning the flow of work through our delivery groups. Distributed from Kerikeri to Nelson this team are excellent communicators, and support of our Enterprise Asset Management System.
