Security Analyst (Application Security & Assurance)

We've been processing secure and reliable digital transactions for over 25 years throughout the country on our market-leading network. Our solutions are PCI compliant, which enables sensitive cardholder data to be protected using the most appropriate security controls.

Given this, we're now on the hunt for a new Security Analyst to be responsible for safeguarding the company's payment applications and overall security posture, not limited to Governance and Risk but Payment compliance management and ensuring that our network is kept safe and secure.

What you are going to be doing.

In this role you'll be responsible for safeguarding information system assets by identifying and solving potential security and compliance problems, implementing security controls and providing support to the development and operational teams and ensure compliance assurance. Your primary focus will be on the delivery of technology products and processes.

In a normal week though you should expect to be spending most of your time on:

· Assist in maintaining and enhancing our information security program to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations (PCI DSS, ISO27001, etc.)

· Conduct gap analyses to identify areas where controls need to be implemented or strengthened and Proactively research and stay informed on evolving security regulations, data privacy laws, and industry best practices.

· Conduct risk assessments to identify and prioritise threats to our payments applications and infrastructure.

· Educate and train development and operations teams on best security practices, raising awareness of potential risks and promoting a security-first mindset.

· Assist with security audits and penetration testing, collaborating with internal and external teams to address identified gaps.

· Work with internal stakeholders to ensure all compliance requirements.

· Participate in vulnerability management programs, prioritising and remediating security weaknesses before they can be exploited.

· Providing security analysis to support architects and developers.

· Contributing to ongoing security awareness across the organisation.

What we need you to be good at.

We need you to be experienced at working within agile product squads to provide security advice and design input to our digital products. You should have experience with security compliance management and risk assessment to ensure the best industrial practices are followed.

· 5+ years as Security Analyst working within the GRC space

· Should have a good understanding of the payment applications and security compliance and assurance.

· Working within an agile development environment

· Excellent communication skills at a technical & non-technical level.

· Good understanding of security principles.

· In-depth knowledge and experience of security controls.

· Security design reviews and risk assessments.

Bonus points if you come with:

· Encryption, certificates and cryptographic concept experience.

· Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, API Gateway and Terraform

· Internet / mobile payment gateway / financial or banking systems understanding and/or experience would be preferred.

· Working within an Agile Squad model
