We are looking for intermediate consultants to join our strong, established team of contaminated land specialists in our Auckland office.

You'll learn from some of the most experienced specialists in the industry and be supported by a team of graduates and technicians.

You'll also work closely with a range of other professionals:
planners, ecologists, geotechnical and civil engineers.

The focus of this role will be managing and delivering a wide range of solutions for contaminated land projects. You'll work directly with clients to solve their problems. You'll decide what needs to be done, direct or carry out field work, analyse and write reports.

You'll also have the opportunity to be involved in people development, team operations and business development if you would like.

We won't put you in a box - we will aim to develop you to do the work you are interested in.

Some of the things you will be doing include:

  • Designing, scoping and delivering site investigations and preparing land remediation reporting
  • Planning and then supervising or carrying out technical project elements
  • Developing and implementing environmental monitoring strategies and requirements related to drinking water source protection

Na tōu rourou | What you'll bring

  • Bachelor or Masters in Engineering (Environmental/ Chemical), Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Soil Science or Environmental Science
  • 38 years' experience in contaminated land related work, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Solid background in the Contaminated Land / Environmental Engineering fields.
  • Experience in one or more of human health risk assessment, site investigation/remediation, hydrogeological assessments, construction monitoring and emerging contaminants.
  • Excellent communication skills including a passion for engaging with coworkers, contractors, clients and other industry stakeholders.
  • Project management skills (can be developing).
  • Technical report writing skills.
