An exciting opportunity to be part of and contribute to the delivery of successful voting services for the 2023 General Election and be part of our overseas operations leadership team based in Lower Hutt.

The primary responsibility of the Voting Services Manager is to assist the Overseas Operations Manager in the delivery of voting services by overseeing the teams who deliver voting services to our overseas and remote voters along with providing support for overseas voting places.

What you'll be doing | He aha tāu e mahi ana

You will:

  • Help set up, train, resource and lead the Vote Issuing teams.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and secrecy of voter information and their votes by ensuring your teams follow the proper procedure at all times.
  • Ensure the Overseas Operation is supported in the provision and delivery of voting services.
  • Take responsibility to ensure all objectives and deadlines within the Vote Issuing workstreams are met.

You will need:

  • A good level of computer literacy with the Microsoft suite and the ability to quickly learn new processes and systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • High level of planning and organisational skills
  • Sound decision making ability
  • High level of flexibility, ability to multitask
  • Experience in operational management and administration
  • Experience in efficiently building high performing teams.
