The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Quality Specialist to join our Seed & Plant Health division at AsureQuality.

Reporting to the Senior Quality Partner this role will involve collaborating, developing, and implementing systems, processes and procedures with the assigned service areas.

The role will also monitor and measure quality and may require cover for lead quality and compliance roles from time to time.

The position can be based in either Christchurch or Palmerston North and you may be expected to travel within NZ from time to time.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of procedures and processes delivering consistency in systems.
  • Compilation of accurate internal and external reports as required.
  • Internal and External Audits, identification areas for improvement, identification of CAR's, Monitor RCAs as required.
  • Risk Assessment and escalations in accordance with procedures.
  • Coach and mentor team members as required. Provide input into training materials and programmes.
  • Addressing customer feedback

About you:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (Food Safety, Science or Agricultural Fields or Quality Management)
  • Working knowledge of ISO/IEC
  • Teamwork
  • Experience in Quality Management Systems documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and adept using MS Office Applications (Word, Excel PowerPoint)
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Proven experience presenting and training.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset.
