  • This is no ordinary, samesame kind of job. Our Terminal Supervisors are the face of Bluebridge. They are here to help make our customers realise the excitement of a Cook Strait Ferry crossing from the time of their booking
  • As Bluebridge is a 24 x 7 operation, we need employees at all hours, so the role involves shift work. You will work on a fortnightly roster which includes early mornings and late nights, weekends and public holidays.
This is a full-time permanent position based in Wellingtons Passenger Terminal reporting into the Passenger Terminal Operations Manager.

We are seeking experienced supervisors and team leader with a passion for building internal and external relationships. You need to be able to think on your feet and problem solve when operational issues arise and continue your service with a smile.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the supervision of customer service representatives and checking all shift reconciliation sheets and banking
  • Management of the terminal cash float
  • Responsible for assigning daily tasks to all staff for each sailing
  • Responsible for security relating to opening and closing of the terminal
  • Ensure staff are utilised in a cost effective and productive manner along with the timely production of the fortnightly staff roster
  • Effective liaison between all company vessels and the passenger terminals.
  • Ensuring office supplies for all functions are maintained at workable levels
  • Responsible for staff training in correct terminal procedures
  • Daily office cleaning
  • Any other duties that may be required from time to time.
In addition, the Supervisor will be required to perform the functions of the
Customer Service Representatives, as outlined below:

  • Answering incoming calls to the Wellington booking office
  • Booking and confirming sailings
  • Provide quotations for all noncommercial enquires
  • Perform customer checkin duties
  • Marshalling of vehicles
  • Cash handling
  • Driving of passenger vehicles
