This is your opportunity to join New Zealand's leading Construction team as a Construction Manager.
About the role
Overseeing a number of complex projects in the Wellington region, this is a key operational leadership role focused on developing and implementing strategies to successfully deliver expertly constructed and profitable construction projects across the region.
You will be overviewing the management of multiple projects to ensure they are executed efficiently, whilst representing Hawkins operationally to clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and the wider Downer business.
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Experience leading project teams in a operational management capacity across a range of construction projects from $1m to $70m+, ideally for a well-known main contractor.
- Solid understanding of relevant legislation and industry compliance standards.
- Strong focus on planning and working to the program at hand. High level of capability utilising MSP or P6, and various QC and HSE platforms.
- Extensive experience and expertise in the development of construction methodologies.
- Passion for providing strong leadership, including team development, motivation and the enforcement of company policies and procedures.
- Experience and confidence in leading on the relationship with multiple project stakeholders, including the project client.
- A demonstrated commitment to strong commercial outcomes on your projects, and experience in managing this.
