Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up, operating, and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments relevant to microbiology and biotechnology research.
  • Prepare reagents, media, and solutions accurately following established protocols.
  • Perform various bioassays, including but not limited to microbial growth assays and enzymatic assays, under supervision.
  • Document experimental procedures, observations, and results in laboratory notebooks and electronic databases.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree/certificate in sciences or other related field
  • 12 years of handson experience or training in basic laboratory techniques, including pipetting, solution preparation, and aseptic techniques.
  • Familiarity with common laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, spectrophotometers, and incubators
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively within a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in recording experimental procedures and results.
  • Demonstrated commitment to laboratory safety practices and adherence to standard operating procedures.
