Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

  • The position is for an Health Care Assistant working AM / PM Monday to Sunday Rostered Shifts in the Medical Paediatric Ward, with children from 1 day old to 16 years.
    You will be working under the direction of the CNM/Shift coordinator in our 23 bed ward. It's a very busy ward with many admissions and discharges, the role involves considerable house keeping tasks rather than patient care.
  • Key responsibilities of the role:
  • Attend the Shift Huddles to have an overview of the Inpatients.-
  • Assisting with the preparation of the Rooms for Incoming/Outgoing patients-
  • Assisting with ensuring the ward is tidy, answering patient call bells, ensuring stock levels are meeting requirements,-
  • Competent Computer skills to enable you going forward to be able to assist with ordering appropriate supplies.
