This exciting opportunity is an Administration role that supports the Gastroenterology Department and is ideal for someone who is a team player and has a customer centric approach.

In this role you will provide Administration support, which includes transcription and dictation duties.

You will also be involved in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as other ad hoc administrative tasks.


We are looking for a confident person with a warm and friendly nature to support our important and busy service.

As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claim settlement this role has been mapped to National Band 3/Profile 3C

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

  • Clinical Administration experience would be highly advantageous
  • Experience in transcriptions would be very beneficial
  • Knowledge of medical terminology (not essential)
  • Data entry or typing skills WPM)
  • Great communication and relationship building skills
  • Strong time management and problemsolving skills
  • Experience using a Patient Management System would be an advantage, however full training will be provided
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
