Waitakere City, Auckland, New Zealand Ventia Full time

ABOUT VENTIA
Ventia is one of New Zealand's leading infrastructure services companies. Our clients are the owners and operators of assets that are critical to our local communities. We pride ourselves on working smart, safely, and sustainably, harnessing the latest technologies and brightest minds.

With a diverse and proud heritage, we have a track record of delivering essential services to the communities in which we operate.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?

This is a combined role that provides the opportunity to demonstrate your relationship management and administrative capabilities on a wide scope.

This is a truly flexible role where you manage your own time as well as enjoy variety and diversity in your day-to-day tasks.

As a large, multinational organization we have clients and contracts all around the country across a wide range of industries including telecommunications, electrical services, and facilities management.

As such there may be opportunities for a high performer to direct their career path into other industry sectors or to progress to senior management within the wider Transport business.

THE ROLE

Your dual focus will be coordinating communications from external stakeholders and supporting the maintenance team with administrative and general office tasks.

Specifically, the effective communication of project plans and programs to relevant stakeholders, diplomatic handling of stakeholder concerns, and assisting with the delivery of site month-end reports.

You will be the first point of contact for the site and will provide ad-hoc administrative support as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have/be:

  • Flexible and proactive to the needs of stakeholders and the business.
  • Have a professional telephone manner and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven administrative experience with strong customer service skills.
  • The ability to effectively manage and escalate all requests, complaints, and notifications from the public and our clients.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Social media savvy (advantageous).
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc).

This is a junior role that will potentially suit either an Engineering graduate who would like to be exposed to the day-to-day running of a Maintenance contract or someone with a communications background with a passion for customer service and stakeholder management.

HOW TO APPLY

DIVERSITY

Diversity Ventia is enriched by the diverse experiences, talents and cultures that our people bring to the organisation, while celebrating and respecting the communities we operate in.

We are committed to providing a safe and positive environment that provides equal opportunities for individuals of all backgrounds, including Māori and Pasifika people, LGTBQI+, Women, Veterans and spouses and people with disabilities.
