We are seeking Registered Nurses | Tapuhi Whai Rēhitatanga to join our progressive recovery focused teams within our current facility The Henry Rongomau Bennett Centre and, in time assist with the transition to our new state-of-the-art mental health environment, which is currently in the construction stage.


  • We have a range of opportunities available in our adult acute mental health wards and in our forensic mental health wards that include full time, parttime, casual and fixed term positions offering a variety of shift patterns or set days.
  • Key responsibilities of the role:
  • Assess, maintain and manage clinical risk-
  • Build relationships with tangata whaiora family/whanau and support agencies.-
  • Conduct thorough assessments of tangata whaiora health status and develop appropriate care plans in partnership with them-
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for tangata whaiora-
  • Commit to the MDT approach with a focus on excellent service delivery

  • To be considered for this position, you must have:
  • A current New Zealand nursing registration and practising certificate with scope to work in mental health-
  • A passion for making a difference to the lives of our tangata whaiora and whanau-
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills-
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environmentPreferably, post registration experience within a mental health setting
