We service all cardiac patients within the Midland region. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your nursing skills within a supportive environment.

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**We currently have opportunities for experienced Registered Nurses to work within the Cardiac Care Unit. The Cardiac Care Unit has 52 beds and provides tertiary care to patients from throughout the Midlands Region requiring Cardiology Medicine including Acute Coronary Syndrome, Cardiac Investigation and Cardiac Electrophysiology and Heart failure management.

  • Key responsibilities of the role:
  • Responsible and accountable for assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of safe patient care.
  • Prepare patients for cardiac procedures and provide post procedure cares.
  • Patient education and advocate
  • Plan safe patient discharge.
  • Provide patient/client centred/partnership care
  • Integrating nursing knowledge/ theory into practice
  • Multidisciplinary team work and clinical leadership with results in safe and best outcomes for the patient/client

  • Have a current annual practicing certification
  • Minimum of 1 year post registration experience
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
