Our Purpose:
Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand systematically plan, fund and deliver care to almost 600,000 people that live in the Canterbury region.
The Team:
Our Anaesthesia Department provides services in Christchurch for Te Whatu Ora, Waitaha.
Surgical Services include all the main surgical specialities including Cardiac-thoracic, Neurosurgery, Spinal surgery Paediatric/Neonatal surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive surgery.
The Department of Anaesthesia also provides services to the Spinal Injuries Unit at Burwood Hospital.The Role:
We are seeking Provisional Fellows in Anaesthesia who will be based at Christchurch Hospital.
The department has 3 positions available which will be commencing on the 31st of January 2024 as a 12 month, full-time, fixed term position.
The Provisional Fellow positions are accredited by the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and offer an ideal bridge between registrar training and consultant practice.
Applicants must have passed the Final Fellowship Examination and be entering their fifth year of training (or equivalent).
