Job Description:


Reporting to the Plant Engineer, the Maintenance Planner will monitor general maintenance for all departments, coordinate contractors, source quotes for projects, monitor the R&M log controls and liaise with Supervisors to ensure that production requirements are met.


Responsibilities include:

  • Planning all R&M jobs and ensure appropriate parts are available
  • Purchase order completion for the trades department
  • Contractor Management, ensuring all liability agreements and insurance details are kept up to date
  • Manage electrical and mechanical inventory ensuring stock levels are maintained
  • Invoice/packing slip/PO reconciliation for payment
  • Ordering all parts
  • Oversee and manage compliance register and installation of Mex completed for the Trades Department
Typically working 45-50 hours per week you will generally complete 8-10 hours a day, 5-6 days a week

Rates are determined by relevant experience in the industry with a wage range between $32 and $36 per hour or on average $85,000 per year

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership skills, ability to build an engaged team and effectively delegate tasks
  • Ability to minimise production downtime
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Extensive prior maintenance experience in an industrial environment
  • A mechanical trade qualification (electrical knowledge would be an advantage)
  • Comfortable working with modern CMMS systems
  • Previous experience with MEX would be an advantage
  • Intermediate computer literacy
  • A supportive, wellestablished preventative maintenance team
  • The ability to make the role their own and autonomously manage day to day operations
  • A wide variety of responsibilities, balanced between computer and handson work
