We are a level 6 Emergency Service committed to providing acute and emergent care to patients and their families/whanau within a multidisciplinary team.

We aim to deliver high quality and safe care at all times.

Our goal is to create a positive learning environment for our nurses and provide an education platform to help them develop the knowledge and skills they require to care for adult, paediatric medical, trauma and mental health emergency patients who present to Te Pae Tiaki.

As a nurse educator you will provide mentoring and clinical support to nurses at all stages of their careers - whether it be as a new graduate, a nurse new to the Emergency Department or those transitioning to Resuscitation or Triage areas.

You will be delivering lectures at a number of study days which are pivotal to each area of ED.

Our teaching style is innovative and leans towards a - hands on approach - which is specific for adult learners.

We encourage innovation and critical thinking.
We endeavour to role model high quality nursing care and professionalism.

We are proud of the education we provide and aim for a learning environment that provides ED nurses with new knowledge and skills which they can transfer directly into their nursing practice.

Moū - About you
A New Zealand registered nurse, you will have a current practising certificate with the Nursing Council of New Zealand. Additionally, you will bring to this role prior experience in emergency nursing. A post graduate qualification in nursing, or study towards this is expected. Awareness of and sensitivity to individual and cultural differences is essential.
