The Operating Department at Wellington hospital are looking for a nurse educator that has a passion for theatre and quality. A key aspect of the role will be to provide high quality educational experiences that prepare fellow nurses for a diverse healthcare environment. It is a unique opportunity to make a genuine difference to the advancement of the nursing team but also the delivery of patient centred care.

Wellington Regional Hospital has 16 Operating Theatres, with a large nursing staff. We are a friendly, nurturing team who work closely with the Multi-disciplinary team to deliver a person / whanau cantered approach to healthcare. Moū - About you
Ideally, you will have Theatre clinical and education/training experience, and are passionate about culturally competent practice. Being able to work autonomously and maintain effective key relationships are attributes for this position to be effective. A capacity to work both independently and as part of a team is vital to the role. The chosen individual will engage with people, create and foster relationships and have the ability to get the wider workforce enthused when it comes to education.
You will be able to lead and develop evidence based practice and ensure professional practice standards are maintained. You will have strong leadership skills, and will be able to support and motivate staff. You will need to have excellent communication skills and be a team player. You will be flexible and adaptable, with an ability to juggle competing workloads
