We are recruiting for a Senior Vetting Services Advisor. We are looking for a talented and professional individual with excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
NZSIS has a statutory mandate to conduct security vetting in New Zealand on behalf of all government agencies. Working with a wide variety of individuals and teams will be an important part of this role.

The role of the Senior Vetting Services Advisor is to manage and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders including:

  • Key external customers from government agencies that sponsor security clearances
  • Internal Vetting Services customers, including the Protective Security Requirements (PSR) team
  • Key thirdparty service providers
The Senior Vetting Services Advisor will also be responsible for uplifting customer security capability maturity communications, advice and training.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 7+ years experience of customer service and relationship management
  • Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in designing and delivering training plans and resources
  • Understanding of the machinery of government and/or knowledge of the public sector
  • The ability to anticipate customer and business needs and meet them


To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years.

Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
