You will be a valued and integral part of the team, managing the airworthiness of components in compliance with airworthiness regulations and industry best practices.


The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Maintaining component control plans for the aircraft fleet.
  • Scheduling the servicing and maintenance requirements along with tracking usage.
  • Organising the repair and servicing of components.
  • Ensuring all maintenance and repairs meet airworthiness regulations and standards.
  • Liaising with maintenance crews and suppliers to coordinate schedules.
  • Reviewing maintenance records to identify issues/ trends and provide recommendations to leadership/command.
This a fixed term position for 3 years.

Along with having proven experience within the aviation industry, you will need to have the following knowledge and skills:

  • Strong understanding of airworthiness regulations and component control practices.
  • Familiarity with aircraft components, including their maintenance, repair, and overhaul.
  • Selfmotivation, highlevel organisational skills and the ability to manage and solve issues as they arise.
  • A keen eye for detail and enjoy reading the fine print.
  • Effective communication and relationship management skills.
  • A qualification in aviation Maintenance or related field would be welcomed.

The Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) is responsible for continuing airworthiness activities.

The Fleet Planning Unit Rotary is responsible for the effective and efficient planning of all maintenance associated with the NH90 and A109 fleets and is responsible for maintaining long-term fleet plans to give a common operating picture, enabling efficient supply chain operations, accurate flight planning, and timely information to stakeholders.

- is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last five years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, the United Kingdom (UK) or the United States of America (USA); and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at this level.
