As a Construction Operations Manager you will contribute to the short-term and long-term planning of all amenities operations to ensure consistent, high levels of service are met.

You will be accountable for operational effectiveness and for exchanging achievement and performance feedback to the Regional Construction Manager.

  • Plan work steams to ensure adequate contract management resource field resource and plant resources
  • Maintain, winning relationships with Subcontractors to ensure they and Downer are successful together.
  • To support the construction team in providing added value solutions to customers and operational delivery teams.

  • You'll need demonstrated industry or similar experience in the Construction industry
  • Proven business management experience with responsibility and accountability for staff, plant and return on investment
  • Proven understanding of financial management including revenue, expected margin, procurement, receipting, cost control and WIP
  • Proven understanding of general and special conditions of contract
  • Strong programming and planning skills including measuring and reporting progress programme
  • A strong track record of leading teams within and across contracts
  • The ability to deal with unexpected events/make decisions and provide direction to work teams
  • The willingness to provide solutions to assist with a 'continual improvement' philosophy
