Job duties may include:

  • Check the quality of ingredients.
  • Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages.
  • Follow instructions in cooking and delivering wellprepared meals.
  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting high quality dishes
  • Assisting in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes.
  • Compliance with the health and safety regulations
  • Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices and food safety standards
  • Monitoring portion and waste control
  • Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards
  • Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes, ensuring the utmost taste, quality and
presentation.

  • Create innovative and contemporary dishes while preserving the rich Flavours and
essence of traditional cuisine.

  • Maintain a smooth work flow, ensuring timely food preparation and strict adherence to New Zealand food safety and hygiene guidelines.
  • Using Tandoor and Owens to prepare the food items
  • Train and mentor junior staff members, sharing culinary knowledge and skills to maintain consistency and elevate the team's expertise.
  • Uphold impeccable personal hygiene and grooming standards, setting a positive
example for the entire kitchen team.

Skills and experience required for the role:

  • At least one year of relevant experience
  • Able to pass the criminal and drug check if required
  • Physically fit
  • Able to work in the weekends including evenings and late nights
  • Showcase Expertise in the Tandoori Cooking ,skilfully marinating and grilling delectable Tandoori dishes
If you have a deep understanding of the relevant ingredients/spices, Flavours, and cooking

exciting opportunity.

Minimum 30 hours per week.

Pay rate $25.00-$30.00 per hour.
