We an exciting opportunity available for an
Event Planner to join our Event Services Team at the University of Auckland.


You will work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, and will be accountable for end-to-end event management, including project planning, budget management, risk assessment, customer communications, onsite management and debriefs.

You will provide expertise, guidance and advice to ensure informed and timely decisions are made ensuring the success of the event.

This is a
full-time (37.5 hours pw),
permanent position. The salary range is between $54, ,000 based on experience and qualifications.

About the team | Mō tō mātou rōpū

Reporting to the Event Operations Manager, you will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated, innovative and proactive individuals ensuring successful delivery of a wide variety of events - from conferences to awards evenings to orientation events and everything in between.


About you | He kōrero mōu
This role would suit a highly organised go getter with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach. Event experience within a tertiary institution or business events would be an advantage.

Important Skills | Nga Pūkenga Motuhake

  • Experience in a similar role is required and a qualification in Events or tertiary degree is preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong administrative skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to multitask
  • Experience with event management software (ideally Events Air).
  • Experience producing virtual events
