We are looking for an Activities Coordinator with a creative flair to join the Bupa family.

You will lead, design, and facilitate leisure activities based on the resident interests, preferences and abilities.

You will also provide leadership to the team of activities staff and promote a positive team approach within the care home.


Hours of Work
This is a Part-Time Permanent position, 27 hours per week. Monday to Friday role, typically worked between 9 am-3 pm. There will be occasional weekend/evening work to help with special events.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement a programme of group and individual activities. Review and assess residents' individual activities programme.
  • Plan activities relevant to the individual needs, abilities and interests of residents in the Care Home.
  • Ensure residents are treated with respect, dignity and cultural sensitivity.
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication networks, both internally and externally, to support the activities programme.

About you

  • An NZQA Certificate in Diversional Therapy Level is preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar role within aged care is desirable
  • Display enthusiasm, empathy, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of residents
  • Demonstrate outstanding communication skills
  • A fun personality with a creative flair
