Autism Coordinator - Child Health Outpatients Permanent, full time 1 FTE Coordinator opportunity Experience in Child Health, and or Paediatrics Position would suit Registered Nurse or Allied Health Worker -Social Worker Mō te tūnga- About the Role Anopportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse/Early Intervention/Social Workerwith an interest in Autism to join the Paediatric Outpatients department as an Autism Coordinator.

We arelooking for someone who is committed and passionate to succeed in this role,and will be a positive role model to work collaboratively with the widermultidisciplinary team.

You will need to ensure high standards of care and improvedpatient outcomes are attained for Children with Autism and their whanau.

As an Autism Co-ordinator you will work as part of a team to ensure that the whanauof a child diagnosed with autism will receive information, support andreferrals to services as appropriate.

You will follow the expected standards for the Neurodevelopment Service toachieve this.

Excellentorganisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, the ability tocommunicate and work alongside a wide range of people at both professional andpersonal level; and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, andcollaboratively in a multidisciplinary team are imperative to this role.

To besuccessful in this role, you will have knowledge and clinical experience with Tamariki with an autism diagnosis.
Your personal skills will include beingself-motivated and reliable with working independently.
You will have theability to work collaboratively within a multi-faceted team.
You will be ableto prioritise your workloads daily.
You will possess critical-thinking skillsto be able to undertake whanau assessment and support plans.
From Julylast year the Canterbury DHB transitioned across to Te Whatu Ora - Health NZ.
