**About the Role**

Sloss House is a double staffed house located in Halswell at the Hohepa Farm, you will be supporting four men aged between 25 to 49 alongside a colleague. They enjoy having a good laugh with one another in a positive environment with some good practical jokes The Sloss House enjoys attending the Hohepa Festivals, swimming, going for drives in the car and helping with cooking. The men have varying intellectual disabilities such as autism and down syndrome with different support styles.

For the 1:1 Support it will be with two of the men of different days this would involve setting up new activities within Hohepa and the outer community supporting them with their physical health and day to day activities.

Daily tasks include supporting with daily routines while encouraging independence to develop skills and personal growth. You will have the confidence to support personal cares, cooking, medication administration, and household tasks. You will be passionate about supporting and extending people’s ability to access and be part of their wider community. If you are looking for a new challenge this could be the opportunity for you.

This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level pays between $22.70 and $28.25 per hour.

**Rostered hours**:
Week One
- Tuesday 9am - 1pm (1:1 Support), 1pm - 3pm (1:1 Support)
- Wednesday 7am - 10am, 10am - 4pm (1:1 Support), 4pm - 8pm
- Thursday 1pm - 4pm (1:1 Support)
- Friday 7am - 9am, 9am - 1pm (1:1 Support)
- Saturday 11am - 9:30pm

Week Two
- Tuesday 9am - 1pm (1:1 Support), 1pm - 3pm (1:1 Support)
- Wednesday 7am - 10am, 10am - 4pm (1:1 Support), 4pm - 8pm
- Thursday 1pm - 4pm (1:1 Support)
- Friday 7am - 9am, 9am - 1pm (1:1 Support), 4pm - 8pm
- Saturday 11am - 9:30pm

Total Hours per Fortnight: 81 Hours

**About You**

Your aroha and approach is what really matters at Hohepa - previous experience is not a prerequisite because we provide on-the-job training. You will either be an experienced Support Worker looking for a change or you are simply looking for a career where your enthusiasm and passion for helping others will make a real difference in people’s lives.
