Scrum Master/Agile Coach

  • As an agile coach, you will support various teams with adopting effective ways of working across all levels of the organisation
  • Join us in our vision to create a new energy future

About Us
We're a team on a mission to revolutionise the way energy data is managed, accessed and used globally. The software we build aims to liberate the energy information crucial to energy innovation.

Through our strategy of delivering commercially valuable cloud native platforms that solve real problems right now, while primed for rapid evolution in the future, we work to deliver on our vision of creating a new energy future.

Our philosophy is to work collaboratively, bringing together the best expertise both locally and globally, and to partner with other leading organisations, to push the boundaries of what is thought possible.

We work on the global technology challenges created by energy decarbonisation, decentralisation, democratisation and digitalisation by codeveloping global energy data platforms in partnership with AWS (Amazon Web Services).

Our team balances a positive and humorous outlook with team work, determination, ingenuity and resilience. We engage with our team, partners and customers alike, with humility and respect.

About the role
As Agile Coach and Scrum Master you will be engaged in:

  • Leading, organising and facilitating agile practices and methodologies at various levels of the organisation.
  • Ensuring our software delivery teams are capable and able to deliver on the vision and strategy for software development at VTS through both coaching and facilitation as a Scrum Master.
  • Promoting, emphasising and actively working to improve collaboration and communication in and between delivery teams, as well as in and between nonsoftware delivery teams.
  • Supporting the flow of value from initiative to deployed code, including supporting 6 week planning increments and the refinement of work that flows into delivery squads
  • Promoting, coaching and assisting the wider VTS organisation and senior leadership in agile methodologies and practices.
  • Participating in the discovery, planning, development, testing, deployment and support of VTS software products as a coach and scrum master. This involves leading and facilitating ceremonies, collecting metrics and providing coaching to software developers, product owners and other delivery team members.
  • Working closely with team members from Product, Engineering and Delivery to ensure that our product development aligns with market needs and business goals. You will assist and advise the engineering leadership team on the team's composition and capability to support our strategy and product roadmap aspirations.
  • Being a champion for developer experience and will collaborate peers and Product & Technology leadership to drive initiatives that improve developer experience including tools, processes, system APIs and documentation and training.

Who we are looking for
You bring with you a strong background in agile project delivery and product management with a comprehensive understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum and relevant toolsets: (5+ years)

You are be able to demonstrate strong coaching and mentoring skills that support individuals and teams with understanding & implementing Agile practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and empowerment.
