You will be providing outstanding customer service in this role by providing crucial administrative functions for the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF).

You will be the first point of call for the business, requiring you to liaise and assist across all different units and levels of the organisation.

You will provide a range of administration services, including:

  • Fielding customer service queries in regards to Defence Shared Services Group (DSSG);
  • Booking travel and processing through online systems;
  • Assisting with event coordination and arranging medal orders;
  • Supporting mailroom and courier services; and
  • Performing other administration support as required for DSSG functions.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience

You will have exceptional communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships as part of the "go-to" team of NZDF.

We are looking for a customer service professional with a positive attitude and willingness to play their part. Experience is desired but not necessary, we will provide full training.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Great computer skills, with proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Xero knowledge desirable);
  • Have exceptional organisational skills and ability to multitask;
  • Be adaptable to ever changing circumstances;
  • Be a confident communicator or people person with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels;
  • Problem solving skills; and
  • Previous admin or customer service experience is desired but not essential.
