The opportunity:


This is a fantastic opportunity to use your passion for quality, your IVA knowledge and desire to support customers through complex issues and situations with AsureQuality.


With a flexible base for location in New Zealand, the Technical Specialist - IVA position gives the opportunity to utilise your IVA expertise and prowess, as you assist the Technical Manager in fulfilling the requirements of accreditation standards and relevant MPI requirements.


With your knowledge of the MPI's Plant Export and Assurance framework at the fore, you will assume responsibility for the technical requirements specific to Forestry and the IVA as a whole.

This could include providing guidance and specialist technical advice to internal and external technical queries, aid the development of technical procedures and work instructions, development and delivery of training and assisting with reporting requirements.


There will also be some IVA delivery responsibilities across auditing, inspection, certification and survey activities to determine the degree of conformity with prescribed criteria, so a high level of knowledge and experience within the Forestry industry with the confidence in speaking to regulators, standard owners and industry partners relating to the management of specific programmes is required.

So if you have the confidence in your IVA knowledge, the ability to become a truly trusted advisor to your colleagues, customers and stakeholders and the tenacity to find quality sustainable solutions to tricky problems, then this is the role for you

This is a permanent full time role with a flexible work location and requires true passion for getting things right first time in a collaborative team environment.

  • MPI approvals for multiple IVA activities; Auditing, Inspections, Plant Health Surveys, Certificate Verification and MAO Systems Evaluation.
  • Knowledge and experience working with IVA Plant Export Certification Standards
  • The ability to build strong trusted relationships quickly
  • Capability to influence without authority around complex issues and solutions
  • A passion for supporting and mentoring internal and external stakeholders
