Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity' The Principal Consultant Job Architecture is responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of a robust and consistent job architecture framework across Waka Kotahi.

The role will work closely with senior leaders, HR business partners, Talent Partners, learning and development, and our Reward and Employment Relations and People Experience teams to ensure that the job architecture aligns with the organisation's strategy, values and culture.

You will also manage external relationships which will be key in you being successful in this role.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience in a similar role to enable you to bring your expertise to this 12-month opportunity.

You will report into our Head of Talent and work towards having our job architecture framework in top shape.

Knowledge and experience:

  • Knowledge and experience in job analysis, job architecture design, development and implementation
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience leading and managing complex projects and change initiatives
  • Proven experience in working collaboratively and constructively across teams and functions
  • Demonstration of commercial realities and welldeveloped business acumen
  • Experience in executing strategies and tactics and delivering key processes.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Workday HCM would be an advantage.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Advanced excel, reporting, analytics and project management skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management, consultation, influencing, relationship and partnering skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Project management skills would be an advantage
