THE POSITION
We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, experienced upgrades engineer within our team.

This role offers the opportunity to provide continuity throughout the entire upgrades process, including:

- sales support
- concept design
- new product development and detailed design
- technical overview of contractors,
- project management support
- through to onsite management and participation of the installation and commissioning.
- global opportunities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Research the design of machines currently in service to provide design solutions and concepts for the purpose of quoting upgrade projects, warranty claims and spare parts.
  • Convert design briefs as supplied into design details and working drawings to the required standard (in full, on time, in spec, and within build budgets) in a timely manner.
  • Provide design and details with specific consideration of long life together with efficient manufacturing and economic component choices.
  • Project Engineering and Managing upgrade and service projects as allocated. From an agreed design concept/ solution, quantify the costs and prepare a quotation for a machine upgrade, or warranty claim.

TO BE A GREAT MATCH FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years of mechanical design experience.
  • Possess the skill and ability to operate Solid works efficiently.
  • Possess the skill and ability to operate Autocad or equivalent 2D drawings software efficiently.
  • Possess the skill and ability to operate the Microsoft suite efficiently.
  • The ability to produce and understand detailed hydraulic and pneumatic schematic diagrams.
  • The ability to successfully lead a multidisciplinary team on and offshore.
  • Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills. Possess a good understanding of industrial and automated production machinery.
