About the Role
The Production Planner role is a new position created to support the production team based at our Onehunga site. Reporting to the Production Manager you will successfully track and optimise the production schedule, enhance operational efficiency and work collaboratively across the business to support organisational growth. This critical role involves:
- Developing and maintaining production plans to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Monitoring production processes and adjusting schedules as needed to accommodate changes.
- Coordinating procurement of components to ensure availability of materials.
- Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction to all stakeholders including suppliers, internal and external customers, with updates on timeframes and product availability.
- Championing stock accuracy, analyse data and generate reports to identify areas for improvements.
This is an exciting time to join our business, where you will be working with great people in a pivotal role where you'll need to stay on top of your game As well as an ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment you will have:
- 5 + years' experience in an engineering or manufacturing industry, ideally with knowledge of steel
- At least 2 years' planning experience with ability to read and understand understanding technical drawings.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with a strong desire to build sound relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and an analytical approach to be able to provide solutions and optimise process.
- Enjoy working in a team environment where everyone contributes to the success of the department in a positive and proactive way.
