The opportunity - Te tūranga


We're on the hunt for multiple Digital Stream Operators who will be responsible for executing the daily content operations functions across our expanded team here at TVNZ.

These exciting newly created roles ready for you to sink your their teeth into and help develop new systems and practices within the business.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with live sport and events to ensure best outcomes for TVNZ and its users editorially and commercially.
  • Monitoring daytoday events, schedules, and VOD (Video on demand) requirements to ensure tasks are complete and ready for our viewers
  • Troubleshoot technical issues on digital streaming platforms, liaising with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues
  • Updating and building metadata forms, booking event signals, and confirming imagery and video deliverables
  • Ensuring quality, from accuracy of your workflows through to the standards by which you check the outputs produced both file and live event based

What we're looking for - Tā mātou e kimi nei
Knowledge, experience & skills to be successful in this role:

  • Early start in a media, broadcast and/or content management and/or tertiary qualifications in related disciplines
  • Some experience with operational roles and a strong exposure to technology systems and practices
  • Good knowledge of media processes, such as scheduling, rights, editing, programming and contentmanagement
  • Someone with a real passion for Sport
  • A proven team player
  • Someone who enjoys problem solving and a fast paced environment
