Parks and Community Facilities (PCF) is committed to providing world class community buildings and public spaces including parks, reserves, public open space, walkways, libraries and leisure centres.

As kaitiaki (guardian) of Auckland Councils parks and facilities, we play a vital role in promoting the wellbeing of our communities.

We now have a great opportunity for a Contract Coordinator to join us.

As Contract Coordinator you would support all financial transactions of outsourced Facility Management Contracts of the Parks & Community Facilities department.

This will include monitoring contract claims and ensuring validation and proper accounting against expected outcomes.

You will record and ensure financial trends, challenges, issues and risks are identified and the Contract Performance Team is informed in a timely manner.


Day-to-day you could expect to work on:

  • Validation of contractor payments that are accurate and based on service level agreements
  • Resolving adhoc requests with B2B interfaces and new CRM processes
  • Providing technical and financial advice, analysis to the Contract Performance team ensuring all relevant supporting documentation is recorded
  • Updating of contract management system when new assets are changed, removed, replaced or upgraded
  • Using existing information from various asset and contract management systems to ensure variations are processed and tracked against budgets and asset information provided

About you


This role requires 3-5 years' experience in similar roles, working with SAP or similar financial / ERP systems, and experience in contracts processing.


We are looking for someone with a good understanding of procurement and contract management practices, local government legislation, council practices and constraints.


We will be looking for specific experience with:

  • SAP Asset Management Plant Maintenance, SAP Ariba and Sharepoint
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and an ability to relate to people at all levels in the organisation
  • High standard of time management skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Curiosity for learning and delivering on new ideas or ways of working
