He angitūtanga - The opportunity


Due to organisational growth, we have a newly created
Manager position to lead our Data Engineering team to deliver high quality and best practice data engineering services and data outputs across the FMA.

In this leadership role, you'll enjoy developing an efficient data engineering function and assisting to lift FMA's technical capability.

Collaborating across the organisation, and working closely with our Research and Insights function, you will ensure your team is providing the data infrastructure, quality, coherence and outputs needed to enable the FMA to provide the market and consumer intelligence desirable for its regulatory functions.

We're looking for qualified Data Engineer who brings:

  • Experience coaching, mentoring and developing people.
  • Expertise in database systems, pipelining and data warehousing.
  • Confidence switching between strategic and operational thinking.
  • Strong proficiency across Microsoft technologies including Azure data services (ideally certified).
  • A proven ability to collaborate, build strong relationships, communicate effectively and influence at all levels of an organisation.
