Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
A rare leadership opportunity has become available at Te Toka Tumai, Auckland as the Professional Leader - Radiation Therapy.
The Radiation Therapy Service is a critical component of Te Pūriri o Te Ora, Regional Cancer and Blood Service.

The service comprises a team of over 80 FTE who provide about 48,000 radiation treatments per year to patients in the Northern Region.

As the Professional Leader - Radiation Therapy, you will work alongside the Radiation Therapy Head, Radiation Oncology Service Clinical Director, Professional Leader - Medical Physics, Allied Health Director and the Chief Professions officer.

You will provide a Radiation Therapy professional perspective to the Radiation Oncology Leadership team as well as the Te Toka Tumai Allied Health, Scientific and Technical Leadership group.

You will hold accountability for the professional practice of Radiation Therapists, lead workforce development strategies and improvement opportunities for the profession.

Reporting to the Chief Professions Officer, the Professional leader joins a supportive Professional Leader team representing all Allied Health, Scientific and Technical disciplines across Te Toka Tumai.

You will be passionate about leading the profession and enjoy working collaboratively to engage with a variety of key stakeholders.

Your leadership skills will be a strength as well being able to harness opportunities to develop the profession.
It is expected that alongside the professional leader role that you will working clinically within the service.
