We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to work within the existing team at the Centre for Psychology at Massey University, Albany.

We operate a clinical service which has a range of clinical work and referral and funding sources.

Although small, the clinic is an exciting and dynamic environment with an opportunity to practice a broad range of clinical skills.

We also provide opportunities for students training for registration as clinical psychologists.
We are advertising for a 1.0 FTE (37.5 hours per week) professional/senior professional clinician. We are willing to consider other FTE equivalent hours (0.5 and above) and can offer some flexibility with hours.
Mō tēnei tūranga mahi - About this role

In the clinical role you will provide psychological assessment (including neuropsychological assessment) and therapy to a wide range of clients from the community.

You will also have opportunity to contribute to intern, and student supervision.

The clinic aims to provide clinical services to assist clients in improving wellbeing, quality of life, enhancing coping, and reducing distress through the provision of treatment tailored to client needs.

There is also an expectation of a willingness to be involved in the development of services to the wider community such as the delivery of groups and educational services.

The appointee will be a Registered Psychologist under the Clinical or Neuropsychology Scope of Practice; hold a valid Annual Practising Certificate; and have a postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology.

About us - Ko wai mātou The Clinic is a training centre for the School of Psychology and students will observe and sometimes participate in assessment and therapy activities.


Applicants will be required to comply with the requirements of the Vulnerable Children Act 2014 and the Vulnerable Children (Requirements for Safety Checks of Children's Workers) Regulations 2015.
