As a Bin Auditor/Education Officer, you will play a pivotal role in educating residents, businesses, and the local community about waste management practices, fostering compliance, and enhancing customer satisfaction.


Primary Objectives:


As a Bin Auditor/Education Officer, your primary objectives will be to audit households mixed recycling receptacles to ensure correct recycling practices are being followed, creating engagement within the community to promote proper waste management practices, and contribute to increasing customer satisfaction levels for our refuse services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve bin misuse issues effectively.
  • Collaborate with Council Contract management and enforcement officers to develop program plans focusing on specific areas.
  • Educate noncompliant residents and businesses about waste management regulations, ensuring proper documentation and reporting procedures are followed.
  • Conduct followup checks to verify compliance with waste management guidelines.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to address ongoing waste collection issues.
  • Develop and distribute educational collateral to inform residents about specific waste management topics.
  • Provide monthly reports to the council, outlining accomplishments, persistent challenges, and progress made.

HSEQ Responsibilities:

  • Participate actively in a safetyfirst culture, contributing to continuous HSEQ improvement and companywide programs.
  • Prioritize safety in all workplace conduct and participate in risk management and compliance processes.

General Responsibilities:

Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with diverse audiences.
  • Indepth understanding of waste collection systems and disposal requirements.
  • Conflict resolution skills to handle challenging situations professionally.
  • Data organization and processing capabilities.
  • Interpersonal skills to build productive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in producing informative written content.
  • Experience in plan development and implementation.
  • Analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Current driver's license.
