If you are passionate about protecting your colleagues and it's within your scope of practice to work under a standing order become a peer vaccinator.
They make staff vaccinations more accessible and available in the workplace and help to increase the overall number of staff who are vaccinated.
- As a peer vaccinator you would be working under a national standing order and must complete the Immunisation Advisory Centre (IMAC) peer vaccinator online education. In a small team you would be reporting to the Influenza Programme Lead, Occupational Health for Health NZ
- Waikato. Working hours will be Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays for 4 weeks minimum. We are happy to look at parttime if this suits.
- Key responsibilities of the role:
- Set up chilly bins to ensure cold chain is maintained, including monitoring the temperature and record as required.-
- Collect the vaccines and pack the chilly bins and trolleys of equipment required-
- Ensure you arrive at the destinations allocated on the day-
- Unpack and clean the trolley at the end of the day

Mōu | About you
- Skills and experience you'll need to be considered for the role:
- Registered Nurse with current APC-
- Current certification for Adult Resuscitation level 4-
- Authorised vaccinator ideal, but not necessary-
- Ability to work alone and organise yourself to arrive on time according to vaccination plan
