Doyou like looking after a diverse range of patients in a varied environment?Transit Care Nursing is a vital part of thehospital flow process, supporting patient movement between departments.

Anexciting opportunity has arisen to join the dynamic transit team.

As transitnurse you will be assessing and providing essential acute clinical care topatients whilst transiting to various locations around Christchurch campus.

Therole requires skilled nurses who can think laterally and work autonomously in avaried, ever-changing environment.
The transit team are a close group of skilled RN - Sproviding an essential service to the organisation.
The transit team interactwith many specialities across the Christchurch campus.
The role provides youwith an opportunity to work with a level of autonomy in your day.
The work isacross the Christchurch campus, and hours of work are 24 / 7 across 7 days,8-hour shifts.

Successful candidates will be strong communicatorswith exceptional interpersonal skills who have recent experience working withinan Acute, Emergency or Critical Care setting.

You must have a minimum of 3years acute NZ experience.
Flexibility with full time / part time FTE available Ko wai koe About You

New Zealand Registered Nurse
At least 5 years nursing experience in acute, emergency, or critical care setting.
Cannulation and Venepuncture competent
CVAD Competency
Male catheterisation competency
High levels of written communication skills and practical nursing knowledge
Computer literacy
PDRP Proficient
Postgraduate certificate in advanced nursing practice (Desirable / willing to work towards)Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako Skillsand experience
Acute medical or surgical experience is essential
