About the Role:
We are looking for an
Insights Specialist to join the Business Assurance team on a full-time basis, who will be primarily responsible for reviewing and performing advanced analysis and design, develop and implement models to help answer questions:

  • Insights reporting/dashboarding
  • providing actionable insights to financial crime operations teams via reporting or dashboards
  • Behavioural analysis understanding customers behaviour in relation to product, offer, spend and channel interactions
  • Predictive modelling determining a customer's propensity to take a specific action based upon current intelligence by using a number of statistical techniques.
  • Segmentation grouping customers together based on comparable characteristics relevant to business need around life stage, spend and product appetite.
  • Customer profiling profiles and reports are produced on subsets of customers to help determine unique attributes that distinguishes them from the ASB base.


You will work within a sometimes-ambiguous business environment and help foster a culture of curiosity and ingenuity to solve problems and assist others by reviewing their data analysis.

Its quite essential to work collaboratively with the wider analytics team to provide collective insight for stakeholders and meet the technical standards and policies of the team.

First and foremost, you are passionate about data and fighting financial crime and is proactive analytical professional with deep technical expertise and have a naturally inquisitive and investigative mind.


You thrive in a fast-paced environment, feel comfortable challenging the status quo, and are able to articulate risk as it relates to quality assurance workstreams.

You will be committed to delivering unbeatable customer outcomes, be able to build credibility with your team, and be pro-active and confident in your ability to manage your day.

We are ideally looking for someone with the following skills:

  • 5+ years' working experience within the financial services industry or either in a data driven environment
  • Advanced T-SQL, Excel (including pivot charts and tables)
  • Advanced SAS or R statistical modelling, analytical and data mining skills
  • A thorough knowledge of either Tableau or Power BI
  • Good problemsolving skills, comfortable working in complex, challenging environments.
  • Strong written and presentation skills, comfortable presenting to groups.
  • Outcome orientated, persistence to challenge the status quo and deliver customer results.
