Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity


In this newly established Team Support position based at Auckland City Hospital, you will provide administrative and clerical support to the Patient at Risk team, so that they are equipped to perform their roles efficiently.

Whilst this isn't strictly a personal assistant role, there will be times where you will need to engage in that skill set to deliver high quality support to the management team.


You will be working closely with the Charge Nurse, Nurse Unit Manager, Operations Manager and others, including managing their diaries, providing coaching and assistance with calendars, assist in meetings and note taking, and other administrative duties such as rostering and data entry.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
In addition to your strong attention to detail and ability to pick up systems and processes, this role will require you to bring your strong administrative skills and knowledge - these include:

  • 2+ years of administrative experience in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of rostering principles and skill mix requirements ideally, you will have experience in ensuring rosters are fair, and in line with the collective agreements that our team belong to.
  • Superb organisation skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Negotiation and conflict management abilities.
  • Excellent MS office ability.
  • Knowledge of healthcare organisations.
