Counties Manukau District, Te Whatu Ora, is a dynamic and progressive organisation at the forefront of innovative health delivery, working with New Zealand's most culturally diverse populations.

Our Acute and Hospital Mental Health and Addiction Services provide comprehensive assessment and treatment with our service users who reside within the Counties Manukau District.

The Clinical Quality Coordinator is an integral part of the Acute and Hospital Services Clinical Governance structure.

The role is responsible for the promotion, co-ordination and implementation of quality improvement initiatives and assists in service development as a result of Quality Improvement projects.

This includes working closely with the Team Managers, Clinical Heads, Service Managers and the Quality and Risk Manager to ensure the delivery of safe and quality mental health services.

The person in this role takes an active role in auditing and quality initiatives.

Essential:

  • NZ Registered Mental Health Clinician (Registered Mental Health Nurse Proficient Portfolio working towards Expert Portfolio)
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate with Mental Health scope of practice where appropriate
  • Minimum of 5 years post registration experience in Mental Health with some of this being within a community mental health team
  • Full and Current NZ Driver's Licence

Preferred:

  • Postgraduate qualification or working towards one
  • Training in supervision or adult education
  • Experience in auditing
  • Excellent report writing skills
